I’m a sonic shapeshifter — storyteller of vibration, producer, and multi-instrumentalist — rooted in Appalachian tradition, yet unbound by it. My work moves between soft, meditative sound and pulsing energy that invites the body awake. I treat sound as a living force — ancient, futuristic, and fiercely my own — drawing from folk stories, old time jams, and traditions I continue in my own way.

The Appalachian Women’s Recording Giveaway

The Appalachian Women’s Recording Giveaway is an initiative created by Sonata Lee Cantata to support women musicians in Appalachia who have original songs but lack access to recording equipment or production resources.
This opportunity is open to musicians who identify as women and reside within the Appalachian region.

One selected artist will receive:

Pre-production consultation
One professional recording session
A basic mix
Digital file delivery

Professional mixing and mastering referrals will be provided. If additional funding becomes available, the vision is to have the selected recording professionally mixed and mastered at no cost to the artist. The recording session will take place in Roan Mountain on June 19, 2026 (location details private). Applications close April 20, 2026. One artist will be selected based on artistic vision, readiness, and demonstrated need.
